Norman McNarry is married to Barbara and is a co-founder of the George Best Foundation. He has recently retired after a career in the public service. He devotes his retirement to the furtherance of the aims and objectives of the George Best Foundation and operating a battlefield touring company commemorating the role of Irishmen who served in the British Forces with a particular emphasis on the Great War in France and Flanders and the Anglo-Boer and Zulu wars.

Norman is an avid sports fan with a passion for Rugby football and soccer.
