Terence Brannigan was the founder of resource™, Northern Ireland’s largest private sector employer.  With over 15,000 staff and more than 2,000 customers, resource delivers a range of support services to blue-chip clients across the whole of the UK and the island of Ireland.

In 2006, as part of a buy-and-build strategy, Terence constructed and led the management buy-in team that acquired what was then Maybin Support Services (NI) Ltd.  This was shortly followed by the acquisition of Grove Support Service in Northern Ireland and Corporate Cleaning Services and Master Clean in the Republic of Ireland. In October 2007 Terence then negotiated the acquisition of Pall Mall, the UK cleaning and security services arm of Carillion plc.

In restructuring and re-branding this new Support Services business, within three years of it’s formation Terence had established resource Group as the fifth largest and fastest growing company in this sector within the UK and Ireland.

Prior to this highly successful buy-in Terence held a number of senior executive positions during a career with Compass Group, including Group Sales & Marketing Director and Divisional Managing Director.

He then served as Chief Executive of the newly-established Defence Division, which he subsequently developed into the $1.7Bn Compass Global Division with responsibility for global acquisitional and organic development of remote site and defence services businesses across 48 countries

Upon returning to the UK in 2003, Terence established, built and was CEO of the company’s Managed Services Division. This fledgling Division delivered a package of soft services (catering, cleaning, vending, security, reception, mailroom etc) to large, blue-chip, multi-site clients across the UK and Ireland.  From a standing start, the division grew into a £150m business within two and a half years.
