Terence Brannigan
Terence Brannigan is the Chief Executive Officer of resource, Ireland's largest supplier of soft services. He has a wealth of experience in customer service having held directorships for the world's largest catering company - the Compass Group.
Terry, has returned to Northern Ireland, as part of the Management Buy in team which purchased Maybin Support Services NI Ltd and Grove Support Services in Northern Ireland and Masterclean and Corporate Cleaning Services in the South of Ireland. Ultimately, Terry is responsible for a £100m business which employees over 7,000 people.
Being a trustee of the George Best Foundation is a role which Terry takes very seriously, his knowledge of the service sector will bring added value to the aspirations of the George Best Foundation.
Norman McNarry
Norman McNarry is married to Barbara and was a co-founder of the George Best Foundation. He is 59 years of age and has recently retired after a career in the public service. He devotes his retirement to the furtherance of the aims and objectives of the Foundation. Norman is an avid sports fan with a passion for Rugby football and soccer. His other interests are battlefield touring with a particular emphasis on the Great War in France and Flanders and the Anglo-Boer and Zulu wars.
John Keane
John Keane is one of fewer than 100 Fellows of the UK advertising industry's pre-eminent professional body, the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA). He achieved this during his 4 years on National Council and 2 years as Chairman for the UK Regions and for his contribution to best practice in the sector.
With more than 20 years' experience in the business, based in both London and Ireland, John is recognised as a media-savvy strategic thinker, never afraid to roll up his sleeves and fight to achieve the results Clients seek. With an Honours degree in Communications, he readily admits an unrelenting lifelong passion for the communications sector, and will happily bore senseless all who will listen with evidence of how advertising works!
Brendan McGinn
Brendan formed BJM at the age of 25, as one of the youngest Chartered Accountants practitioners in Ireland. BJM has grown to over 40 staff between Belfast and Dublin and is the only practice outside the 'Big 4' with offices in both cities. Along with basic compliance BJM has a large Corporate Finance Division and advises on inward investment from North America. BJM also seconded staff to New York to the Irish Tourist Board and implemented the financial systems for Tourism Ireland (TIL) in North America. TIL was established under the North-South ministerial council to promote Ireland as a unified tourist destination.
Founder and Chairman of SPEAC (Special Provision for the Education of Autistic Children). SPEAC committee consists of parents of autistic children committed to improving the lives of their children. Personally raised circa £0.5 million to open the first school in the North of Ireland and funded the opening of the CEAT clinic (Centre for Early Autism Treatment). Both projects have imported the specialist technique of ABA(Applied Behavioural Analysis) from the United States. The SPEAC Centre is a working partnership with the Education and Library Board - www.speacinfo.org. BJM won NICVA link award in October 2006 for services to the charity.
Brendan has recently been appointed to the International board of Co-Operation Ireland March 2006. Co-operation Ireland has been set up "to advance mutual understanding and respect by promoting practical co-operation between the people of Northern Ireland and of the Republic of Ireland." - www.cooperationireland.org. The Patrons of Co-Operation Ireland are President Mary McAleese and HM The Queen.
Jim Boyce
Jim's love of football began at seven years of age when his grandfather took him along to watch local club Cliftonville. He became a fanatic since that first match and has been heavily involved in and committed to football over the past 55 years.
In 1978 Jim was appointed Vice Chairman of the club and the following year witnessed Cliftonville FC winning the Irish Cup in their centenary year.
Jim was appointed by the County Antrim Football Association to the Irish Football Association Council in 1982. He then served on various committees for both the Irish League and the Irish Football Association before being appointed as Vice President of the Association in June 1994. Jim was then elected as President of the Irish Football Association in May 1995 and held the position for 12 memorable years before stepping down in June 2007. He has continued to be a faithful ambassador for Northern Ireland and has been awarded with the exclusive title and position of Irish Football Association Honourary Life President.
